Simple Tips to Improve Health


Here are some simple ways to improve your health!

  • Buy and Consume only organic, locally grown, seasonal foods
  • Eat non-starchy vegetables at every meal~ lots! Raw and lightly cooked
  • Consume 25-35 grams of dietary fiber per day
  • The Chemistry of Color! Eat lots of various colored vegetables
  • Rotation of food~ vary what you eat. If you eat it today, don’t eat it for 4 days
  • Try not to buy food with labels
  • Avoid processed foods
  • Eat more healthy fats, especially omega 3 fats acids found in cold-water fish, walnuts, chia, flax and hemp–avoid unhealthy fats
  • Eat more leafy greens; chard, kale, spinach
  • Vary the lettuce in your salads
  • Use lots of fresh herbs; limit salt
  • Limit or avoid sugar
  • Limit or avoid alcohol and caffeine
  • Drink 8 to 10 glasses of filtered water per day
  • Eat slowly; chew well
  • Limit stress or learn to manage stress
