Creating balance

We all know we need balance in our lives; all areas of our lives.

What we eat and drink needs to be balanced. For me that means eating healthy food the majority of the time and limiting my glasses of wine. I’m good at this.

Exercise needs to be a combination of cardio, stretching and light weights. That’s my own balanced program, which after a life time of exercise comes fairly easily for me.

Having fun….hum…Here is where I falter a bit. Granted I have fun almost every day, in that I enjoy people and doing what I do. That said, having fun without any part of my work involved would be a good idea. I am going to work on that. I was invited to someone’s winery this afternoon and I just decided I’m going to go. I turn down a lot of invitations and I’m trying to figure out why.

How do you create a balanced life? For me it’s an awareness somewhere in the back of my mind that kicks in when I suspect I am out of balance, like now. Tell us your tips…..
