Doug's Inspiration

Hello everyone!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that the holiday season brings you all peace and joy. I have learned a great deal this past month from my brother-in-law Doug Krout about living with grace in the face of, in his case, a devastating illness. He has shown us all with his battle with brain cancer how generosity of spirit and a belief in the good in everything with a complete zest for life can ripple through a person outward and in the case of our family, greatly affect other's attitudes and beliefs. It's a little hard to complain about everyday mundane things that we can all complain about on occasion when someone with brain cancer is not complaining! This has put everything into perspective for me and for many others inspired by Doug's attitude and zeal.
For me it has cemented an even greater commitment to all of you to help you maintain or obtain your good health. Our planet has reached total load with regards to toxic chemicals and for ourselves, our families and our planet we simply must learn to live without toxins. Doug has brain cancer; do you know of someone with brain cancer or breast cancer? Did you know that toxins are stored in fat and that your brain is 60% fat? We must start cleaning up! Let's start with our homes; look under your kitchen sinks and in your garages and for that matter your pantry! Toxic household chemicals can be replaced with less toxic choices, just a few generations ago people used lemons as a cleaner. Now companies like Seven Generations offer cleaning products that are healthier for all of us. Personally I gave up bleach some time ago as it's very toxic. No my socks aren't as white, but that's a small price to pay. Garages can be full of toxins. Dispose of unneeded toxins in approved places and reslove to replace various chemicals with less toxic choices. Look through your pantry; do you have processed foods in your pantry that are not health-supporting choices for you and your family? Throw away anything with hydrogenated fats, food additives, dyes, etc. Not only do these foods not give your body proper fuel but they can actually be negative-nutrition meaning your body gets nothing good from them and actually has to work harder to "clean" them out of your systems. Resolve to start today! If you need help call or email me. This is my passion and my commitment to you.
Let's all also commit to live life with grace. Be kind to yourself and others. We'll chat soon!
Patty
